Been to 5 star hotels, luxurious, lavish and posh lives cannot beat this one...
Living in tamil nadu from childhood was fun.I used to fight for one rupee from my mom and buy wat? a handful of colour colour goli's orange, pink, green matching to my frock and collect in my pockets.each gloi costs just 5 paise. But it was somethin expensive for me thou i got only 20 of them. But nothing can beat the " pal gova" over here. made with milk, sugar and other agents was just delicious. In my childhood days one square inch costs 25 paise so 4 pieces for one rupee, which i preserve it in my school bag to hide it from mom,sis and bro. if mom sees me eatin that she scold, sis will steal it demand for a share for which i hesitated.Coz gettin money was difficult.I also remember stealin Rs. 5 from my dad's pocket and i bought my one month stock comprising of colour mittai, in tamil, then mittai, pal gova's and nellika. These in expensive sweet delicacies of tamil nadu reminds me of my childhood but recently a sudden though against this one.How can i forget the elandhavadu and podi(dried bore)But where i being a north indian living in tamil nadu i also happened to taste the delicacies of north my city " jodhpur".
The goli's are the same both places, but only diff here was in north my granny used to save it for me so wen i go meet her she'll give me few and rest i have to share with my siblings.Apart from goli there's thil papdi, mave ki kachori, mirchi vada, churan and supari and many more.
So i 'm blessed with being in tamil nadu n born in rajasthan. If not how cud i taste those delicacies which are inexpensive but memorable in my mind still.
